We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to work alongside an operations development team to help design and deliver a fully functional spacecraft operations centre to manage and provide services for a fleet of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) spacecraft.
Reporting directly to the Head Of Space Engineering you will provide technical inputs into bid work, designing satellite ground stations, network design and preparations for spacecraft operations.
Following implementation of the mission, you will be expected to aid in the ground and spacecraft operations to support a functional constellation of spacecraft.
You will also be involved in building on an existing LEO project, to aid in the development and continuation of the mission.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
* Spacecraft operation planning and execution. Including telemetry analysis and anomaly investigation, diagnosis and mitigation.
* Aid in assessing risk elements of all aspects of spacecraft design, build and test.
* Work alongside the Project Lead to design operational concepts for the mission.
* Provide input into the design and bid work of end to end satellite missions.
ABOUT YOU
* BSc Systems Engineering, Physics, or equivalent OR experience working within the Space Industry.
* Have an interest in spacecraft operations and design.
* Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
* Interest in programming technical solutions (e.g. python, MATLAB etc.)
