Employee Relations Advisor Band 6
(12 Month Maternity Cover)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Employee Relations (ER) team, providing a comprehensive, effective and efficient ER Advisory service to Managers and staff across our sites in Sutton, Carshalton and Epsom.
You will draw on your substantial people experience to manage an exciting and varied portfolio of employee relations cases, providing advice and support on the full range of ER issues, including early resolution, capability, attendance, disciplinary and grievance.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which you will use to support, coach and influence managers and staff at all levels. You will also have excellent IT skills, the ability to work to tight deadlines and a calm and considered approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution.
Your knowledge of current legislation will be up to date, and you will thrive in a fast-paced working environment, where patient care and employee experience are a priority.
We will consider candidates who have HR/ER experience and are willing to work towards the Band 6 as a developmental opportunity.
Proactively advise managers in all aspects of employee relations and effectively manage ER cases such as conduct, grievance, capability and sickness absence in line with the Trust’s employment policies, employment law, equality principles and best practice.
Work closely with the Employee Relations team, People Business Partners and Directorate Managers to understand service needs and support the implementation of operational and strategic HR processes.
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.
