Position: Test & Validation Engineer
Are you passionate about product engineering and validation? Do you have experience in testing methods and a strong understanding of electronic components? We are currently seeking a skilled Test & Validation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for running the Test & Validation function, ensuring the deployment of effective testing techniques and supporting the Engineering Team in the development of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute the company's Test & Validation strategy, performing component and product testing.
* Verify product designs from the Research & Development (R&D) team.
* Develop and implement design validation test procedures for pre-release and product manufacture.
* Specify, design, and build test equipment as required.
* Conduct in-house and external Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing.
* Provide support to the engineering team with pre-compliance and field testing, documentation, etc.
* Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring adherence to specified timeframes, quality standards, certification requirements, and manufacturing specifications.
Required or Useful Experience:
* Strong background in product engineering, testing methods, and in-depth evaluation of product design and functionality.
* Familiarity with general electronic PCB architecture, circuit design, and electronic components.
* Proficiency in working with lab equipment such as power supplies, test leads, connections, bench equipment, and environmental chambers.
* Experience in recording results, documenting findings, and report writing using Microsoft software. Additional experience with programs like MatLab, Modbus Poll, and LabView is a plus.
* General familiarity with sensing equipment, particularly in the areas of gas, particulates, and environmental detection.
