About the job:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, the leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is recruiting a Lead Engineer to join the team located in One Cabot Square.
The successful candidate will be able to apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments and general office environments.
Role Summary:
1. 12 Hour Shift - Continental Shift pattern
2. Able to manage own time and allocate works to other team members
3. Able to manage cost related to delivery of maintenance activities (specialist and self-perform)
4. Services meet client requirements or appropriate SLAs
5. Operate change control process covering business critical areas
6. Provide technical management reports as required
7. Monitor utilities management and environmental programmes
8. Support critical environment related technical audits
9. Support cost-effective procurement of engineering maintenance services
10. Responsibility for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation/records are kept in clearly identified and retrievable systems
11. Plan Statutory Compliance Maintenance and Testing and report as required the Statutory Compliance Audit Report to the Technical Services Manager
12. Ensure all PPMs and Critical Facility PPMs are carried out to schedule
13. Monitor and analyse environmental conditions, review the loading and working conditions of critical equipment regularly
14. Liaise with the CBRE ESH specialist to ensure audit compliance at all times
Experience Required:
1. Recognised electrical or mechanical qualifications
2. HV AP 15 qualification or equivalent - essential
3. 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations - essential
4. Previous experience in operating data centres/critical environments - desirable
5. Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols
6. Understand the monitoring of utilities and environmental programs
7. IOSH or equivalent H&S training
8. Excellent contract/supplier management skills
9. Excellent facilitation, communication skills at all levels
