About the Company:
My client is bringing sustainable heating and cooling to people and businesses across city scale networks, whilst working with policy makers, developers, and suppliers to decarbonise heating for customers, communities, and teams across the UK.
The Role:
This is a full-time role for a Trainee Mobile HIU Technician in the London area. You will join a team of experienced Mobile HIU Technicians who will guide you in carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of heat interface units (HIUs). Additionally, you will enhance your knowledge of heat networks and their importance in achieving the government's net zero goals.
The team will be managed by a HIU Team Manager who will coordinate the team and work closely with you to achieve your goals and increase your skills within the company.
Responsibilities:
* HIU/CIU Inspections and reactive maintenance for loss of heat or cooling within the required timeframe of our Residential Supply Agreements.
* Carry out repairs identified during servicing, including removal/replacement of pumps, valves, and actuators, plus bleeding systems.
* Update work orders in a timely manner in accordance with company training via our asset management system.
* Liaise with our service desk to ensure any on hold jobs are rebooked and closed out as soon as possible.
* Manage your own van stock and contact management when critical parts are required.
* Work in a safe manner in accordance with the company's Health & Safety policy.
* Proactively support others to achieve team objectives.
* Perform heat meter works such as replacing batteries or investigating error codes with the internal Metering Team.
* Understand and follow the company escalation process for reinstating heat/cooling to residential properties.
* Deliver a first-class service to customers.
* Effectively prioritise and perform tasks under pressure.
Role Requirements:
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
* Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of heat interface units (HIUs) is a plus but not a requirement.
* Passion for learning about emerging technologies within the Energy Market and supporting the drive to Net Zero.
* Full UK driving licence.
* A positive attitude towards work and willingness to complete tasks on time while managing conflicting deadlines.
