Gap personnel are working with a leading global logistics company based in Corby & recruiting for 25 Forklift drivers on a temporary to permanent basis in its flagship distribution centre.
For successful workers that have demonstrated good work performance & reliability to shift, permanent contracts will start by week 4 of January 2025.
Applicants must have held a RTITB/ITTSAR licence; this licence can be in date or expired, and applicants must hold evidence of this.
The client will provide free cross training to Hi-Level Order Picker/VNA type trucks & other MHE as needed on site. Due to the truck being Hi-Level Order pickers, applicants MUST be okay with working at height.
Basic Pay: £15.61 per hour (includes £1.50 per hour attendance bonus for 100% shift attended within a week)
Overtime Pay: £20.11 after 37.5 hours worked in a week
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 0800-1600/1600-0800, shifts rotate every 2 weeks.
Main Duties as a Forklift Driver:
1. Using MHE to complete put away, case pick & complete stock movements
2. Ensuring all pre & post Forklift truck checks are completed
3. Working at up to 16.7 metres HIGH to case pick & put away
4. Stacking, organising & moving pallets in the warehouse
5. Working to company standard operating procedures
6. Following all health & safety policies on site
The Successful Applicants will:
1. Have a current or expired RTITB/ITTSAR Forklift licence
2. Be comfortable working at heights
3. Be able to work shifts reliably
4. Be flexible to complete ALL duties within the warehouse facility
5. Receive free upskill training to MHE on site
6. Want a long-term role with the company
