Are you energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking, and caring? We are looking for Bank Staff to join our hospice catering team to help cover weekends and other days/shifts/times in a variety of roles.
Your duties could include setting up and serving in the hospice coffee shop, topping up the vending machine, laying up trays, collecting trays from, and replenishing drinks in our patients’ rooms, liaising with our nursing staff regarding patients’ meal requirements, making sandwiches and salads, vegetable preparation, putting stock away, clearing down and washing-up, clearing down and cleaning kitchen areas, daily and weekly cleaning duties.
The catering department is operational seven days a week from 7.00am to 7.30pm.
Previous catering experience would be an advantage. Previous experience of working in a care environment and/or an understanding of food handling and hygiene regulations would be preferred.
You will need to be physically fit as these roles entail being on your feet throughout the shift. You will need to have a flexible, team-orientated approach.
You must be comfortable working in the hospice setting, working in the ward areas, and going into patients’ rooms.
