A great singer and friendly character, who loves pop music & musical theatre, is good with harmonies and singing in groups and is known for having a big personality and hilarious sense of humour!
STILL READING?
How about a degree or experience in musical theatre or singing?
And a car with a full UK Driver's Licence?
If you're saying yes so far then you're in the right place...
Would you like a career that you love and are passionate about, a job that is so much fun that it makes your face hurt from smiling, and a team to work with that are like family instead of 'colleagues'?
If you're the right person for us you'll have all of the above qualities as well as being a great people person, fun and cheerful, robust and willing to learn, and prepared to have the job of a lifetime!
WHY US?
You'll be well looked after and trained in such a way that you'll grow your own personal skills, and get the help you need to make your goals, dreams & aspirations a reality. Besides, a job should be something you look forward to every day, not dread!
You'll get to work with an amazing community of people, who will become like family, as you facilitate friendships, stress-relief and fun for your groups. You'll get a constant buzz when you see how much the sessions help them!
The opportunities available to develop in this role are endless. If you see yourself running your own business one day, we can help you on that journey. Our plans to grow and expand are ambitious and we are looking for partners to help us achieve our goals. The opportunities available will have an even bigger earning potential, not to mention we will provide all the systems you need to run your own business. For the right person, there will be all the support you need to become successful and achieve your dreams, without the stress of doing it alone.
IMAGINE IT WITH ME...
Your choir members come in all flustered or stressed, or just tired because they've had a busy day at work. You make them smile, you get them chatting and singing with their new friends, and by the end of the session, they're laughing, smiling, high as a kite and ready to take on the world! YOU did that, and it's the best feeling ever!
If you're completely in love with the idea of running a choir, then we'd love to hear from you.
Get ready to take the next step towards a happy and fulfilled life with Lucy's Pop Choir!
THE DETAILS:
This role is part time, permanent, and mostly term time only (school terms).
You will be provided with full training on how to run our choir sessions. Some is done through online training videos & some in person at the sessions. Please note that for this role, some training will be done in Pocklington & York at our existing sessions.
You would be helping us expand our East Riding sessions to areas such as Market Weighton and Beverley, and as such, we haven't set any days or locations for your sessions yet. However, we do know that you would be doing weekday evenings, term time only, and all our sessions run 7:30-9pm, and you'll be needed from 7pm to set up. Whether we start with one or two sessions depends on you, and our decisions together.
You must be able to drive & have access to a car, as there is equipment that needs to be transported to & from sessions.
The salary is £40 per hour, and to begin with, around 3 hours a week, term time only, depending on how many sessions we decide to launch. The hours are term time only (38 weeks of the year for us), and can sometimes vary depending on whether there are any gigs that week.
This role has the potential to grow and reach up to 4 evening sessions a week, as well as other daytime opportunities, which could mean upwards of £18,000pa and 10 hours per week (term time only).
Our gigs (which are an absolute blast btw) are generally on weekends and during the day over summer and especially towards Christmas.
The contract is permanent and part time, but with the potential to grow as we explore the opportunity of owning your own part of the business.
The hours are flexible, other than the choir sessions themselves which would be weekly fixed hours during term time.
This role would suit someone with another part time job, but is not suitable for someone who is in an existing full time role or is in full time education. It would be great for musicians looking for some more steady income, musical theatre graduates, or anyone wanting to retrain with a more relaxed job.
