About the role To provide efficient and effective administration relating to the provision of products and services provided by the Fleet & Plant business. Delivering solutions through providing a professional service. In this role you will work closely with the Fleet & Plant Manager who is responsible for circa 500 vehicles and over 2500 items of plant. This is a full-time permanent role and will be based at our office in Chorley along with working from home on a hybrid basis. What will your day look like Provide support to customers by applying understanding of required activities with supervision as required. Actively participate in the development of innovative solutions To keep informed of developments in the Fleet & Plant industry. To ensure that all policies and procedures are complied with. Work with all Fleet & Plant colleagues to enhance the services provided. Assist reporting against all appropriate Key Performance Indicators, Service Level Agreements and Master Hire. To provide regular management information reports as and when required. Will have decision making authority within guidelines and agreed frameworks. Dealing with claims, damages and fines which may occur during the management of the fleet and plant. Raising Purchase Orders and resolving Invoice queries ensuring the suppliers are paid on time. Escalating customer and supplier queries/issues/complaints as appropriate. To proactively work with the customer and supply chain to improve customer experience. Take responsibility and ownership for progressing tasks to ensure a prompt and satisfactory resolution has been undertaken. Input the relevant data into the Fleet Management system, with thorough attention to detail and accuracy. Have the required understanding and operational knowledge of our Fleet management systems. Able to be flexible to meet operational requirements. Have good communication skills with a good telephone manner. About you The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough and methodical approach to managing workload, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. A key part of the role will involve participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance fleet and plant operations. While prior experience in a Fleet Management environment and familiarity with Fleet Management systems is preferable, it is not essential as training will be provided. The successful candidate will be a team player, committed to contributing to the smooth operation and ongoing success of our fleet and plant management activities.
