Job Title: Team Leader
Location: Leeds City Centre
Job Type: Full time – Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Reed Leeds Business Support are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm specialising in debt collection. Due to continued growth our client is looking to add a Team Leader to manage to collections team. This role involves managing a team of collections agents, developing strategies to improve collection rates, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of collections agents to achieve performance targets
* Develop and implement collection strategies to maximise recovery rates
* Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching
* Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment arrangements with clients
* Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
* Prepare and analyse reports on collection activities and team performance
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices
* Conduct monthly one to ones
Qualifications:
* Experience in a supervisory or leadership position
* Understanding of collection laws and regulations – Desirable not essential
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
* Proficient in using collections software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
