Practice Business Manager Vacancy – Merse Medical Practice
We are looking for a Practice Business Manager with enthusiasm and energy to join our committed team.
We are based in the Scottish Borders, with the seaside only 20 minutes away and an easy commute to the Cities of Edinburgh and Newcastle. The area boasts good schools and is a great part of the country to raise a family. House prices are affordable.
We work from within the Knoll Health Centre in Duns and have a large geographical area that provides GP services to patients from Duns, Chirnside and surrounding Berwickshire locality.
We are an innovative, friendly and progressive training practice, where patient care is at the heart of what we do. At present, we have 4 GP Partners, 1 ANP, 1 Practice Nurse and 1 Healthcare Assistant. We have approximately 6500 patients. We also have an experienced administration team to support our clinical activities. We believe our practice to be an excellent place to work and we have very low staff turnover as testament to this.
We are looking for an experienced leader to help us shape the future of the practice, deliver improvement outcomes to our patients, whilst ensuring that a sustainable business model is delivered. Knowledge of the NHS and managerial experience in a healthcare setting would be preferable but not essential.

Salary is dependent on experience in region of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum. Hours are 30-37 per week, Monday to Friday.
Holidays start at 29 days per annum plus 8 public holidays. You would be entitled to join the NHS Superannuation Scheme, which has an employer contribution of 22.5%, after a successful probation period.
