Position: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Duddingston Primary School
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 20.50 per week, 39 weeks sessional
We are seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team at Duddingston Primary School on a fixed term basis until 26th June 2025 to cover a period of maternity leave. We are a busy, vibrant nursery in a modern setting with 60 children attending term time hours. We have a lovely outdoor space with free flow between indoor and outdoor play and work closely with our nursery families and community to provide high quality experiences and interactions for our children.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required for individuals who have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
