Join our innovative Civil Engineering team as a Civil Engineer, where your skills will be essential in solving engineering challenges and delivering top-notch designs, calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports while ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborating with the Senior Civil Engineer, you will conceptualise water and wastewater treatment works and infrastructure designs.
Your insights will help develop project briefs, ensuring we achieve optimal engineering solutions throughout our projects. What you’ll be doing as a Civil Engineer:
* Analysing root causes of problems at our treatment works or in the network.
* Undertaking site visits.
* Ensuring that safe, sustainable designs are developed.
* Preparing calculations, designs, study reports, specifications, drawings and H&S documentation.
* Liaising with other engineering disciplines to ensure that the civil engineering design caters to their requirements.
* Providing civil engineering input into asset surveys, plant condition assessments, feasibility studies, optioneering, whole-life costing, and preliminary designs.
What you should bring to the role:
* Be educated to degree level or other appropriate technical qualification in Civil Engineering.
* Understand the regulatory environment to achieve compliance with our engineering regulatory requirements.
* Possess the ability to use your initiative and undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
* Have excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with our colleagues and stakeholders.
* Deliver exceptional service through a passionate and positive approach, taking accountability for your role while working accurately and flexibly within a busy team.
