2. Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation solutions to improve production throughput, quality gating and resource utilisation.
3. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure that product designs are optimised for manufacturability, reliability, and scalability.
4. Provide input on design considerations, material selection, and manufacturing processes during the product development lifecycle.
5. Develop and execute process validation protocols to ensure that manufacturing processes are capable, stable, and repeatable.
6. Perform statistical analysis and capability studies to validate process performance and identify areas for improvement.
7. Investigate manufacturing issues, defects, and non-conformities to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
8. Utilise problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and fishbone diagrams to drive resolution.
9. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the medical device or automotive industry.
