Registered Manager
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the Gables Care Home's continued compliance with relevant legislation. Working in partnership with the board of directors (owners), you will ensure the provision of a high-quality service that meets individual needs and organizational priorities in accordance with available resources.

Duties & Responsibilities
Compliance
1. Maintain a high-quality service working in partnership with colleagues to manage services and resources.
2. Ensure the service meets and exceeds the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 and the Care Quality Commission guidance ‘Essential Standards of Quality & Safety’.
3. Ensure the delivery of safe, personalized services to each individual service user through assessment, person-centered care planning, and regular outcome-focused reviews.
4. Ensure compliance with the Gables Care Home’s Development & Training and Supervision Policies.
Service Delivery
1. Ensure the delivery of person-centered care/support services that promote independence, choice, and dignity.
2. Ensure care/support services are structured to provide flexibility, reliability, and continuity.
3. Ensure services are accessible.
4. Develop robust systems and procedures.
5. Respond to all new referrals in a timely manner in line with contractual and organizational timescales.
6. Oversee the co-ordination of care workers across all areas.
7. Deliver services that ensure the organization’s duty of care to the service user and staff.
8. Ensure good communication and links with all stakeholders regarding the provision of services.
9. Ensure the office is resourced during office hours and provide an effective out-of-hours on-call service.
Service Development
1. Participate in the strategic development of the organization and assist with identifying and developing strategies for quality planning and delivery.
2. Grow and develop services through maximizing referral opportunities.
3. Identify marketing opportunities and develop a marketing plan.
4. Manage projects to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Produce monthly management reports and meet with a director.
Team Management and Leadership
1. Manage a small staff team involved in the management and direct provision of the service.
2. Ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to service provision that is cost-effective and efficient.
3. Identify recruitment needs and develop plans to ensure the service is appropriately resourced.
4. Engage in human resources/staff management duties including workforce planning, recruitment, training, supervision, and absence management.
5. Ensure processes and procedures are in place to meet organizational and staff requirements regarding human resources.
6. Ensure staff are trained for their roles and responsibilities and have access to appropriate training opportunities.
7. Establish and maintain effective two-way communication to keep staff informed and engaged.
8. Implement systems to ensure healthy working practices and that staff receive relevant health and safety information.
9. Ensure all staff are familiar with and work in line with the Gables Care Home policies and procedures.
10. Provide advice, support, and guidance to staff at all levels.
Quality Assurance
1. Implement and maintain an effective quality assurance program to promote high quality, best practice, and continuous improvement.
2. Deliver services effectively and efficiently with clear monitoring procedures in place.
3. Ensure good and safe practice in all activities related to service user care.
4. Resolve all complaints in accordance with the Gables Care Home’s Complaints & Compliments Policy.
5. Evaluate services through regular reviews and analysis of feedback.
6. Implement the Gables Care Home’s Governance Framework to continuously improve services.
Resource Management
1. Proactively manage delegated budgets ensuring efficient use of resources.
2. Develop operational controls in partnership with the directors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Person Specification
Skills & Abilities
1. Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and cope under pressure.
2. A minimum of 2 years experience in a health and social care setting.
3. At least 1 year of relevant experience in an operational management capacity.
4. Knowledge and understanding of current legal responsibilities and standards of service delivery.
Education & Training
1. NVQ Level 4 in health and social care or working towards NVQ Level 5 or its equivalents.
2. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
3. Full driving license with use of own vehicle.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
