The Wakefield Central Youth Hub Team is seeking a dynamic and driven support worker to join our team.
This role will be based at The Central Youth Hub, serving the Central, North, and South West area of the district. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering innovative youth programs across various locations within the area, with the goal of enhancing outcomes for young people aged 11-25.

What I might be doing?
* Support the team to develop and deliver a comprehensive offer of support and activities for children and young people from age 11 to 24 (up to and including).
* Support children and young people’s participation in a range of activities which promote positive health and wellbeing.
* Work with Schools, Colleges, Training Providers and Employers to identify work placements and/or learning opportunities for young people and to support young people to access these opportunities.

Essential requirements:
* A relevant qualification recognised in Youth Work, Youth Justice, Careers Guidance, or Education, together with registration with the relevant awarding/professional body e.g. GSCC where applicable.
* Previous experience working directly with children and young people.
* Proven track record of successfully implementing interventions for this demographic.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to the creation and delivery of engaging youth programs.
* Good knowledge and understanding of the barriers that certain groups experience in accessing services and support.
* A full driving licence is required.
