A unique opportunity has become available as the Lead Nurse for Staffing and Workforce at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. This is a key role responsible and accountable to the deputy chief nurse.
I am looking for an exceptional, inspirational, and dynamic senior nurse or midwife who will be required to negotiate, problem-solve, think strategically, and build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will be supported in your role by the senior leadership team, and professional growth is encouraged. I am passionate about developing you to progress in your career. Together, we will work on a professional development plan.
As a key member of the nursing and quality team, you will contribute to the development of our nursing, midwifery, and allied health professionals' strategy.
You will be responsible for the oversight, application, and improvement of safe staffing across all nursing and midwifery clinical services within the organisation. This will require leading on the nursing establishment setting in line with the National Quality Board every 6 months, the daily review of staffing and patient acuity via SafeCare, and governance that contributes to safe and effective clinical care.
You will provide specialist advice and guidance around SNCT and Safe Care, including Trust-wide training and professional advice to the divisional directors of nursing, heads of nursing, matrons, and ward managers.
