MS Dynamics 365 F&O Solution Architect
The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG is looking for a Dynamics 365 F&O Solution Architect with extensive experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise Dynamics 365 F&O projects. With a hands-on approach and proven experience in end-to-end implementations, strong understanding of primary process and procedures combined with practical knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products. A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients, managing onshore consultants, working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around Dynamics F&O functionality and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst leading and mentoring more junior staff.
This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions’ customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business area within an established and market-leading global Big 4 firm.
Responsibilities:
1. The Solution Architect will lead the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions
2. Involvement in full end-to-end implementations and all phases of project life cycle
3. Involvement with D365FO interfaces and Integrations
4. Solves and advises on complex problems with creative solutions
5. Be a champion for both technical and functional leading practice with the Finance Solution.
6. Have an exceptional understanding of Dynamics 365 technical and functional capabilities.
7. Collaborate with the Global team to enhance the out of the box Dynamics 365 functionality, giving KPMG a unique selling point and also a resalable asset.
8. Be responsible for ensuring our pre-sales engagements are delivered with the same rigour and attention to detail as our client engagements.
9. Define training needs within the team and coach other team members.
10. Deliver all consultancy according to the KPMG Methodology, ensuring that all software applications are implemented successfully according to the project plan.
11. Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills and behaviour.
12. Identify business/project risk and mitigate or communicate as necessary.
13. Ensure progress updates are communicated to relevant parties both formally and informally.
14. Awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO
15. Demonstrate ability around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities
16. Identify practice development activities and strong involvement in the creation and delivery of these to fellow colleagues
17. Leads people and helps to grow them in their role
18. Promotes the Values of our company
19. Performance manage two or more junior members of product team
20. Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
21. Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors
22. Represent KPMG MBS in a professional and positive manner at all times
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills
23. Experience with Dynamics 365 in a Solution Architect role.
24. Experience of large-scale ERP implementations.
25. Expertise in providing both out of the box and development solutions in a Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment.
26. Extensive experience in consulting and excellent presentation skills.
27. Ability to lead engagements and present to the C-Suite stakeholders.
28. Deep and broad knowledge of technical capabilities of Dynamics 365, including appropriate certification(s).
29. Must be able to show good knowledge of best practices for Dynamics 365.
30. In particular deep knowledge of all core Finance concepts and processes including, Enterprise Structures, GL, AP, AR and reporting.
31. In addition understanding of one of the following is beneficial:ManufacturingHuman ResourcesProject Management and AccountingProcurement & SourcingTrade & Logistics
32. Knowledge of best practices for working with offshore teams.
33. Experience of Agile Methodology.
34. Certification in TOGAF or Zachman Framework would be beneficial.
35. Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies.
36. Broad understanding of software development lifecycle.
37. Strong MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus).
38. Knowledge of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred.
39. Adept at Business Requirement Analysis with a focus on reducing development effort and simplifying delivery.
40. Pre-sales experience.
41. Business process mapping, modelling and documentation knowledge.
