Job overview
St Richards Theatres are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic clinical stores coordinator to join our busy team. We require knowledge of computer ordering systems, stock management and control and will be involved in yearly stocktakes. Flexibility in approach to work with the ability to prioritise the workload in a fast changing environment. You will be working as part of a team alongside the theatre clinical teams.

Main duties of the job
Communication
1. Provide administrative support within the Surgery Division using effective interpersonal communication skills underpinned with technical knowledge to assess and interpret complex situations.
2. Exchange relevant information with appropriate staff.
3. Communicate with Estates and clinical engineering Department to organise and carry out repairs, certify new equipment and remove old equipment.
4. Assist in the setting and monitoring of quality standards and audit in relation to evidence based clinical practice.
5. Work in a collaborative and co-operative manner, recognising and respecting the contribution of self and others within the Surgery Division.
6. Build and maintain effective relationships with the clinical supplies coordinators and all grades of Theatre Staff.
Service Delivery and Improvement
1. Maintain appropriate levels of stock to ensure supplies are available to patients when needed.
2. Responsible for requisitioning, receiving and recording stores and equipment used by the Surgery Division.
3. Maintain appropriate records as required by the service.
4. The post holder will be given in house and/or approved college or manufacturers training programs to enhance and expand the role if required.
5. The post holder, after suitable experience, may be able to contribute to product evaluations, audit and contribute to future planning and development.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Clinical Stores Coordinator will work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that medical devices used within Theatres and the Surgical Division are managed appropriately in conjunction with clinical engineering; work with the Surgical Division Business Support Team by contributing to projects and initiatives as required; ensure that stock levels of essential consumables used within Theatres are maintained.

* Experience of stock control, online ordering, good level of communication.
* Knowledge of NHS computer systems.
Desirable criteria
* NVQ in business or relevant course.
* Has previous NHS experience.
