The Assistant Management Accountant will assist in the smooth running of the Accounts Department as required. This includes daily, weekly and monthly reports for orders and sales, responsibility for maintaining cashbook and accounts receivable records on a day to day basis as well as supporting the accounts payable function and preparations of various reports. This role has the potential to be either fully office based or hybrid. Key Responsibilities include: - Daily sales and order report - Enter and reconcile timesheets to ERP - Update cashbook and daily bank reconciliations - Allocate cash received to customer accounts - Chase customer invoices as they become overdue - Report on AR aging and overdues - Cash flow reporting - Set up weekly BACS payment run and bank payments for foreign and sundry suppliers - Inter-account currency transfers - Process employee expenses - Reconcile the credit card statement - Prepare and file VAT return - Freight cost analysis - Accruals and prepayments - Update service contract file and post deferred income release - Tasks as identified on the month end checklist including detailed reporting - Warranty and overheads reporting - Cover for Accounts Payable Assistant - Support the external audit - Preparation of Letter of Credits as required - Essential Skills - Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups and subtotals - Attention to detail and pride in the work undertaken, ability to check own work - Ability to organise own workload and prioritise based on deadlines and needs of the business - AAT Qualified or part qualified Ideal Experience - Previous experience working in a busy accounts department, covering multiple accounting functions - Completing work to deadlines - Working within a manufacturing company or an understanding of the complexities involved Additional Information
