The position holder will plan and organise daily activities for the allocated team within Toyota Manufacturing UK. The Team Leader will play an instrumental role in managing the provision of the production supplies, ensuring the continuity of production.We are offering a salary of £39,706 per annum.Rotational shift pattern: 05:30 - 14:30 & 15:00 - 00:00, Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. The benefits: - 25 days' holidays and 5 days' volunteer leave- Opportunity for unpaid leave- Free parking- Company pension scheme- Cycle to work scheme- Employee referral scheme- Critical illness cover- Free online fitness platform i.e., Pilates & Yoga, Mindfulness/Meditation, 24/7 support, advice, diet and nutrition- Employee benefits i.e., free eye test, up to 25% off gym membership, high street vouchers- Free access to 24/7 online GP, mental health support service, life events counselling and care concierge service- Tailored development and career opportunities Key responsibilities: Business Operations- Effectively allocate team activities for your area of responsibility, ensuring tasks are distributed appropriately and are achievable.- Map, challenge, and continually review current processes alongside your Group Leader to ensure that SOPs are robust, efficient, current and comply with Health & Safety.- Effectively compile and deliver a structured and comprehensive shift handover, enabling a smooth transition between the shifts to ensure operations continue smoothly and all outstanding actions are addressed.- Appropriately escalate issues arising during the shift at the earliest opportunity to ensure efficient running of the operation.- Oversee the requirements of the client to ensure parts are delivered to required locations to meet business demands.Team Management- Follow all required employee management processes in regard to performance, absence and conduct / undertake disciplinary investigations and hearings in accordance with policies and procedures.- Motivate, coach, and mentor the team, ensuring expected performance levels are understood.- Identify and work alongside your line manager in implementing appropriate training interventions to build a multi-skilled workforce able to operate in the most cost-effective manner.Stakeholder Management- Maintain and improve current working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring a professional standard of communication in a timely manner, and building trust and confidence.- Take an appropriate root cause analysis and problem-solving approach to identified issues, seeking line manager / stakeholder advice on contentious or disputed issues.Health & Safety- Deliver the ongoing Yusen H&S programme through daily monitoring, application and delivery of the H&S policy, SSOW and internal and external compliance.- Participate in H&S monitoring, review processes, and ensure employees are trained.- Communicate H&S matters to the team. Manage workplace safety continuously.
