Job Title: Paint SprayerLocation: Leamington Spa, WarwickshireJob Type: Full-time permanentSalary: £32,250k per annumHours: Week 1 Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:30 Friday 06:00-12:00Week 2 Monday to Thursday 14:30-23:00 Friday 12:00-18:00Weekly Shift Payment of £116.25 Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team, responsible for the preparation and application of 1K and 2K paints using various spraying techniques. The role requires experience in air-fed systems and electrostatic spray painting, ensuring high-quality finishes on a range of surfaces while maintaining strict safety and environmental standards.Benefits: Thwaites Pension - company contributes 6, 9 or 12%. Death in service. Private Health insurance. Profit related bonus.Key Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as required. Mix and apply 1K (single-component) and 2K (two-component) paints, ensuring correct ratios and curing times. Operate air-fed spray guns and electrostatic spray equipment for efficient and even coatings. Ensure proper use of PPE, including air-fed masks, to maintain safety in spray booths and work areas. Maintain and clean all painting tools, spray guns, and equipment to prevent contamination and ensure longevity. Inspect finished surfaces for quality control, ensuring smooth, even application and defect-free finishes. Work with production schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including correct disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with COSHH regulations. Identify and report defects, ensuring corrective actions are taken to maintain high standards. Work collaboratively with team members to improve processes and efficiency.Requirements: Proven experience as a Spray Painter in an industrial, automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of 1K and 2K paint systems, including preparation, application, and curing processes. Experience with air-fed spray guns and electrostatic painting techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and paint specifications. Understanding of health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements and COSHH compliance. Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination. Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines. Willingness to undertake further training and development as required.Desirable Skills: Experience in powder coating or other specialist paint applications.
