My client is currently looking for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join their landlord, tenant and debt team in Poole, Dorset.
The successful candidate should have strong communication skills and good organisational and time management skills. You must also be able to manage your workload with minimum supervision and work well under pressure.

Your main focus will be to support the landlord and tenant and debt team with legal administrative tasks. You are required to provide a high-quality service to clients in accordance with the standards the firm requires.
You will also develop your knowledge in the field of landlord and tenant with the support of the team and demonstrate consistency within your role.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting fee earners with their caseloads of landlord and tenant and debt files and providing support to clients, prioritising work as necessary.
2. Assisting in drafting notices, standard documents, court papers, and hearing preparation.
3. Liaising with clients/referrers, tenants, agents, and any others as necessary.
4. Complying with any pre-approved Service Level Agreements in place with clients/referrers.
5. Taking responsibility for your own learning and ensuring you regularly read any relevant books/articles.
6. Reviewing your billing target and working towards the target each month.
7. Reviewing accounts on files and frequently ensuring disbursements are billed/any outstanding invoices are chased.
8. Establishing good working relationships with potential clients and nurturing relationships with existing clients.
Required Skills
1. Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a similar role.
2. Excellent attention to detail and an ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
3. Good attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong organisational skills with high volume cases.
5. Good communication skills.
