Job summary We are looking for a confident and motivated Dietitian to join our Dietetic and Speech Therapy Team at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our friendly team consists of 13 Dietitians, 7 Speech & Language Therapists and 3 administrators. The clinical caseloads will include providing a high quality, evidence-based specialist dietetic service to the surgical wards and medical wards, including ICU cover, including parenteral nutrition and complex enteral nutrition. The caseload also includes covering a specialist diabetes clinic. You will be supported by a senior dietitian and will have the opportunity to provide second line cover in specialist areas such as gastroenterology and neuro-rehabilitation. The post holder will be involved in educating staff on matters relating to nutrition and catering and will supervise student dietitians on placement. The post holder will be expected to manage their caseload independently and will be involved in department wide projects and service improvements. The Dietetic and Speech Therapy team is committed to continuing professional development, providing monthly coaching conversations and professional development sessions. We encourage staff as part of their annual appraisal to have an active involvement in audit and service improvement projects. There are excellent opportunities and guidance for ongoing personal development. There is a well-established borough-wide Dietetic network who offers peer support.
