Senior Services Engineer
An experienced engineer or rail manufacturing operative/team leader is sought to provide a range of activities in supporting client service obligations and wider turnkey activities.
The role involves technical and practical tasks, including hands-on work in the department's workshop or on-site at clients' premises.
A senior engineer should be self-sufficient, solve problems, prioritise activities, and support the Services Manager.
Key Requirements:
* Service contracts: Client liaison, visit coordination, fault finding, replacement of equipment, testing and calibration of equipment.
* Projects: Manufacture of test boxes, assembly of production items, planning and leading onsite works, mobilisation activities, method statements, risk assessments, modification procedures, labour provision, tooling requirements, calibration, preassembly, kitting, etc.
Experience Required:
* Practical/technical qualification in Engineering.
* Ability to plan and lead vehicle modification programmes.
* Understanding of installation/modification techniques - electrical and mechanical.
* Knowledge of engineering considerations and safety critical aspects.
* Ability to perform routine electrical and mechanical manufacturing tasks.
* Ability to perform electrical and mechanical testing tasks.
* Good fault finding and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrates strong leadership in HSQE.
* Good communicator with team leadership experience.
* Computer literate (MS Office applications).
* Able to technically author engineering documentation.
