My client, a specialist consultancy, is recruiting for a Commercial Manager to work on a Water project and be based in the West Midlands on a hybrid basis.
This position can be a permanent or contract (inside IR35) role.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to work on a water project seconded to the client in the West Midlands area.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and managing contracts including scoping, pricing, and schedule creation.
* Working closely with the procurement team on tendering, supplier selection, and contract awards.
* Providing accurate live forecasting and reporting, ensuring project financials are properly managed and monitored.
* Managing costs, assessing variances, and ensuring compliance with project budgets.
* Delivering robust project controls and reporting on project progress, including risk, opportunities, and financial audits.
* Engaging with site teams to ensure continuous commercial performance improvement and delivering project innovations.
Key Candidate Criteria:
* Strong commercial experience in the Utilities sector – Water project experience is desirable.
* Extensive pre- and post-contract experience in a commercial role.
* NEC Contract experience.
* Minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a consulting/contracting or customer-focused commercial environment.
* Degree-qualified or equivalent industry experience.

* Location: Coventry
* Permanent or long-term contract inside IR35.
* Hybrid work pattern – 3 days on-site, 2 remote.
