Portfolio Management Office The Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is the bridge between the Delivery teams and the other ITS functions. As PMO you will have the opportunity to support a variety of multiple projects and project managers across our firm. These projects will vary in nature and could be either technical or non-technical related. You will bring your PMO skills, knowledge, and expertise to support projects with a flexible approach. This role will require you hit the ground running and deal with ambiguity at any given stage within the project lifecycle. You will build strong relationships with your stakeholders, understand their strategic direction, processes, and requirements to become their trusted advisor on all elements of delivery and act as an extension to their team. You will have experience of working in an agile environment with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and equally be able to adopt and adapt to traditional project management approaches as required, to support the business’ objectives. With a can-do attitude, you will be accountable for delivering your service, working independently in the service area you are aligned too, to achieve success. This role will provide you great opportunities to develop skills that can provide progression into project and/or PMO management. Responsibilities You will be responsible for supporting the financial management and reporting requirements within the PMO team. Key duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to); Assisting in the process of monitoring project budget Deck preparation for our monthly project review boards Monitoring costs incurred against projects and taking ownership of monthly finance queries Continuously looking for ways to improve our financial reporting processes, and implementing those changes Supporting in the review and observations of our resource utilisation report Communicating our monthly timelines to our project delivery team and stakeholders Design minutes, collate actions, risks, dependencies on behalf of the project team and follow them through to completion Support the PM with quality assurance to ensure data quality Preparing multi-project reports/dashboards Facilitating and arranging and supporting meetings Supporting the PM to identify deviations and taking countermeasures Pro-actively controlling the flow of information in case of escalation Controlling cross-project dependencies Overview of cross-project objectives, resources, and deadlines Distribution of strategic information Supporting the PM to ensure strategic alignment of projects and ideas Cost-benefit analyses of projects and ideas Supporting the PM to ensure that the programs and portfolios are aligned to operational and strategic objectives Enterprise resources are allocated and utilised as per business goals Design and track various program and portfolio performance Ensuring overall progress and health of projects Financial information tracking i.e., the budget, forecast, actuals, margins, etc. Operational efficiency and project performance Contribute to the continued development and success of the PMO as a Service team Experience P3O qualification – desirable 4 .5 to 7 years in PMO (with over 2 years’ experience in financial project management), including experience of working within a fast-paced role whereby you will be required to adapt to competing priorities and strict deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and other reporting tools is essential for this role Advanced level use of MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and SharePoint Skills Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are critical to succeed in this role Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data to a non-financial audience whilst inspiring confidence in our stakeholders Good commercial awareness and experience of managing budgets and resource utilization\ Very well structured and organised with the ability to able to respond to changing priorities Analytical and flexible with the ability to rapidly understand ambiguous and complex concepts Able to analyses data and spot trends that will provide the leadership team with valuable insights Ability to take and understand the commitment to deliver the project on time through the use of Agile tools, the value of metrics and incremental delivery Having the attitude to solve problems and support others within the team Ability to work independently and within a team Ability to demonstrate initiative and proactiveness Knowledge of Project delivery lifecycle Communicate with openness, honesty and respect in all situations and be adept at conflict resolution and direction setting Ability to align with the organisation’s processes, governance framework, best practice, and adherence to any necessary compliance Work location: Hyderabad Shift timings: 11 AM to 8 PM How You Will Grow At Deloitte, we have invested a great deal to create a rich environment in which our professionals can grow.
