The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Work full-time on a long-term basis in a rewarding role, earning up to £650 per week.
* Provide direct support to students with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Offer one-to-one and small-group support, helping students engage in lessons and develop both academically and socially.
* Use behaviour management strategies to support students’ emotional well-being and academic progress.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and the SEN team to implement tailored learning plans (ILPs) and targeted interventions for individual students.
About You – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
* Hold a 2:1 degree or higher in any subject (Psychology, Education, or related fields are particularly desirable).
* Have a genuine desire to support young people with SEN and help them thrive.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Be calm, adaptable, and resilient, especially when working in a busy school environment.
* Have prior experience working with young people (e.g., through tutoring, volunteering, coaching, or other youth work).
