PURPOSE OF ROLE: • The role will be to provide generalist HR support to the HR team. To ensure that HR systems and files are maintained accurately and to liaise with third party providers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Absence Management, including reporting on absence statistics, referrals to occupational health and welfare reviews • Management of the Occupational Health contract. Referring absence & capability cases to Occupational Health where necessary and ensuring that subsequent advice is considered, discussed and implemented wherever possible with the appropriate stakeholders • Administer all paperwork in a timely manner during the employee lifecycle • Ensure accuracy and reliability of all HR databases are maintained whilst keeping up to date the Deeside Cereals document management system • Ensure that all HR, recruitment and general communications noticeboards remain up-to-date • Ensure right to work documentation is established for all new employees and received in HR on or before the start date. Advise managers as necessary on the appropriate documents required • Manage the starter & leaver processes and all associated paperwork for all site employees • Process all changes to contract data in the Master Spreadsheet in conjunction with the Senior HR Advisor and produce letters for all changes to contracts • Management of the temp-to-perm conversion process • Management of the probationary review process for all new joiners • Responsible for ensuring that all job descriptions are kept relevant and up-to-date • Management of all recruitment administration from sourcing candidates to final offers and rejections • Lead for the company’s Early Careers Programmes • Management of the employee wellbeing and health surveillance programmes • Supporting the HR department in recruitment where required • Support the HR team in absence, disciplinary and grievance meetings by providing Minutes. • Support and provide cover ensuring that the payroll data upload is processed on-time and accurately • Providing all people data from relevant systems and spreadsheets for weekly / monthly reporting purposes • Ensure compliance with employment law regulations such as Working Time Regulations and Data Protection Act • Ensure compliance with reporting and RTW procedures • Provide cover on reception / switchboard as required • The job holder is required to do all tasks considered as relevant by their line manager • Responsible for Food Safety, Quality and Legality Requirements • Previous experience within a HR function is essential • Minimum CIPD L3 qualification required • Knowledge of employment law • Highly computer literate and experience of all MS packages, particularly word, excel and powerpoint • Experience of working within a highly confidential environment. • Communication skills – able to communicate at all levels in organisation • Able to prioritise own workload and work under pressure • Experience of working alongside line managers to conduct investigations is desirable • Ability to coordinate work and prioritise • Independent action in the organisation of own work programme Benefits Salary - Up to £30,000 per annum Flexitime Scheme Hybrid Working Subsidised Canteen Subsidised Staff Shop Pension Scheme Employee Assistance Programme
