GSL Education are currently working closely with a lovely school in Winchester. This friendly SEMH School is focused strongly on providing support and care for their pupils. The school aims to meet the needs of secondary-aged (11-16) boys and girls who have difficulty managing social interactions, positive relationships and recognising and regulating their emotions.
Working in a SEMH school can be challenging. We need the right person with the right attitude.
We are looking for a calm, caring and highly motivated individual who is very understanding with challenging behaviour. Experience in a school environment is desirable but work experience that can be adapted is accepted.
This Role includes,
Supporting the teaching and learning of SEMH pupils
Working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties
Working in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants
Full-time is preferred but part-time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
Hours 8:30am-3:30pm
