We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to work on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's facilities by performing maintenance tasks and overseeing repair processes. This position requires a strong mechanical background, as well as excellent problem-solving skills. This is a Night Shift. Based in Ilkeston
Duties-
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
* Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, including lubrication, adjustments, and repairs.
* Weld components as necessary to maintain equipment integrity.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
* Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
What we are looking for-
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to maintain various types of machinery, experience of working in an industrial manufacturing environment
* Experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
* Pneumatic and hydraulics experience
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
* Bench fitting, welding and machining experience
* Trained to an apprentice level
* Able to work a permanent night shift (although you will be initially starting on days)
