QUARRY MANAGER
Site leadership role for quarry operations specialist with experience in aggregates, sand, gravel, hard rock, hard stone, and asphalt sectors.

Our client: A major group specializing in the bulk construction materials sector, regarded as a market leader.
The Role:
As Quarry/Unit Manager, you will focus on leading, directing, and effectively managing the quarry operational team to ensure the delivery of exceptional safety, environmental, cost, quality, service, financial, and operational targets. The emphasis will be on continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and performance.
1. Operate to the highest level of health and safety in line with our client's Health and Safety Plan.
2. Ensure adherence to all statutory legislation and company regulations.
3. Achieve optimum production levels in line with commercial activity at the lowest operational cost.
4. Liaise with customers regarding delivery and quality issues.
5. Work with logistics and technical functions to support excellent customer service and quality levels.
6. Ensure the quarry operational team is adequately resourced, trained, and developed.
7. Coordinate maintenance activities during normal operations and shutdowns.
8. Implement operational control mechanisms covering all relevant aspects.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. HNC/HND/Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Mining, or Science discipline.
2. Quarry Management qualifications such as SHE NVQ level 4/QCF level 6.
3. Strong operational quarry/unit management background.
4. Experience in quarrying, stripping and restoration, drill and blast operations, and geotechnical assessment.
5. Experience of quarry management at a site producing 500,000 tonnes plus per annum.
6. Excellent understanding of working within a process plant or highly regulated Health, Safety, and Environmental centric site.
7. Experience of managing both permanent and contract employees.
8. Demonstrated inspirational leadership and effective communication skills.
