Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients stay healthy when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
Are you a Registered Nurse with a teaching qualification (or have a keen interest in teaching and the ability to obtain a teaching qualification), post registration experience/qualification in Neonatal Nursing, and a portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievements in practice/education?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Exeter Neonatal Unit for a Clinical Practice Educator. You will provide essential and developmental education while supporting mandatory training compliance. The post holder will also be expected to play a proactive role in quality and service improvement, working closely with the Band 7 Clinical Practice Educator and the Clinical Nurse Managers. Successful applicants must balance all aspects of the role, including teaching all levels of Neonatal Care, planning Essential Training Days, and communicating with The University and Neonatal Network.
We are looking for a charismatic and engaging individual with adept interpersonal skills who can connect with the clinical nursing team at all levels and support cultural/behavioral changes to ensure further progression in the delivery of our service, providing the best possible care for babies and families. A large part of the role will be clinically focused and will include teaching and training to develop a strong and quality workforce.
This post involves access to vulnerable adults and/or children, and successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
Working Pattern
22.5 hours per week. Part-time, flexible.
