Integra Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our clients school in the L26 area as of January to cover maternity leave. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for the English language while fostering critical thinking and effective communication skills. This role requires a commitment to creating an engaging learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
* Teach English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, to students of varying ages and abilities.
* Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
* Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration.
* Incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of English language literature, grammar, and composition (KS3 and KS4)
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to engage students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
* Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources for teaching purposes.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching.
* Experience in classroom management techniques.
