Role: Administrative Officer
Location: Liverpool L2 9PP - 60% Office attendance required scheduled by rota
Working Hours: Part time, Shift H
10am-2pm Monday - Friday
Training: 2 weeks during the hours of 9:00 am to 17:00 pm and will be on-site
Contract: Temporary, 6-months with the possibility of extension based on performance and demand
Pay rate: £13.85ph
Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join a number of teams working across the Home Office within the Visas, Status, and Information Services command as an Administrative Officer.
Successful candidates will be posted to a team within the Visas, Status, and Information directorate; a diverse and dynamic unit that includes a variety of roles within different areas, as set out below.

Daily Duties/Responsibilities
* Answering telephone calls, live chats and emails in a professional manner.
* Providing a complete and informed response on first contact to all customers.
* Reviewing customer information, including information provided as part of their application; assessing any further actions they may need to take and advising customers appropriately.
* Accurately inputting all necessary information on internal IT systems within required timelines so that customer contact is recorded.
* Routing calls appropriately based on the information you receive.
* Taking responsibility for your own development needs, proactively maintaining, and building your knowledge of relevant subjects following training.
* Committing to continuous improvement with willingness to take responsibility for identifying and/or implementing improvements.
Essential skills and experience:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Be able to work well individually as well as within a team, in a busy working environment
* Excellent telephone skills
* Efficient at using IT systems
Role specific requirements:
You will be required to undertake security clearance and a basic DBS for these roles, and it is imperative that you have lived in the UK for the last 5 years, hold a valid passport and be able to provide two proofs of current address documents and a proof of national insurance document in order to apply for this role.
A basic DBS clearance will be completed by Brook Street prior to application for home office security clearance.
No holidays within the first 4 weeks. Virtual and/or face-to-face training will be delivered, and on-line/peer/manager guidance will be provided.
