What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing operational support for SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
* Working closely with the 2nd & 3rd Line support teams, troubleshooting database and infrastructure-related issues.
* Assisting in database maintenance, security, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
* Supporting database integrations for new services, working alongside project engineers.
* Monitoring system performance, automating routine tasks, and improving efficiency.
* Engaging in incident resolution and problem management at a 3rd line support level.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL in an IT support setting.
Understanding of Windows Server administration, with a willingness to learn Linux.
Experience with database backup strategies, security practices, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with scripting and automation tools for database management (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to develop in a technically challenging role.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
Exposure to MySQL and other database platforms.
Knowledge of Azure, VMware, or networking fundamentals.
ITIL or other industry certifications.
