This SAP Plant Maintenance Analyst role, with a major international energy company based in Westhill, supports offshore maintenance performance through data analysis, KPI development, and SAP process consistency. This contract role runs until at least the end of 2025 and requires someone with advanced SAP skills, data expertise, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
The SAP Plant Maintenance Analyst is a key role supporting improved Maintenance performance on the offshore assets through insightful reporting, rigorous data analysis and coaching others in the effective application of business processes. Sitting within the Maintenance Methods & Reliability Team, this role provides centralised functional support to the assets.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Focal point for maintenance KPI reporting, analysis, and ongoing KPI development.
2. Subject matter expert in all maintenance processes implemented in SAP; providing coaching on these.
3. Analysing data from multiple sources, identifying opportunities and gaps in performance, and presenting recommendations for change based on this analysis, past experience and Industry best practice.
4. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities within maintenance processes and reporting.
5. Ensuring consistency of process and application across the asset base in respect of work order management.
6. Role-model compliance with HSE policy. Ensuring that all activities are planned and conducted in compliance with HSE policy.
7. Communicating effectively and consistently role model CNOOC values. Readily accept accountability and insist on it from other key stakeholders interfacing with the role.
8. Undertaking quality control checks of SAP notifications and work orders through complete lifecycle. Provide feedback and remedial actions where deficiencies are identified.
9. Ensuring maintenance processes and procedures are implemented in a consistent manner across UK Assets.
10. Coaching others in the effective application of maintenance processes in SAP.
11. Analysing, manipulating and enhancing CMMS data to meet maintenance reporting requirements for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
12. Analysing system data to identify deficiencies in areas such as equipment performance, and resources utilisation. Preparing written reports and present recommendations based on data analysis.
13. Leading the development and improvement of Maintenance and Work Management KPIs.
14. Supporting high levels of compliance with regulatory and safety critical aspects of maintenance processes.
15. Maintaining oversight of the assignment of PM-related roles to users in SAP.
16. Collaborating effectively with other teams, and actively encourage individuals to build networks, share knowledge and participate in joint problem solving activities.
17. Continually develop improved ways of working through actively seeking feedback/input from colleagues and key stakeholders.
18. Developing CNOOC business processes and technology to improve maintenance delivery.
19. Performing other duties, complete additional tasks and support ad hoc projects as required.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
1. A highly motivated individual able to work in a systematic data-driven manner to bring improvements in maintenance performance through working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
2. Engineering or Technical Discipline Qualification, HNC, or significant experience in a similar CMMS or Data Analyst role.
3. Comprehensive experience in and excellent understanding of the SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS, as an advanced-level business user.
4. Advanced skills in maintenance data analysis and reporting (high-volume data extraction & analysis, data cleansing, KPI and report development).
5. Appropriate level of experience within the oil and gas industry.
6. Experience and understanding of maintenance processes; work initiation & prioritisation, work preparation, scheduling of work activities, deferral, closeout.
7. Demonstrable strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written).
8. Demonstrable experience of adapting to change and working within multi-function/discipline teams.
9. Ability to work using initiative and with minimum supervisory direction.
10. Experience in CMMS build, upgrade or roll-out projects desirable.
