Circet Northern Ireland are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our offices in Dungannon
Main Purpose:
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for all commercial functions of each of the projects undertaken whilst maintaining effective relationships with clients and Circet management team.
Job Purpose and Scope:
* Interpret the contract to fully understand the project scope, restraints, and responsibilities.
* Manage all commercial functions through to final accounts, overseeing all financial aspects of the project.
* Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting.
* Submission of accurate applications to client in line with contract terms.
* Identify and price variations as and when they occur in line with contract terms.
* Provide commercial guidance on project performance through accurate forecasting and risk identification.
* Ensure the Project Team adheres to all contractual requirements.
* Manage procurement process to ensure timely delivery of project equipment and materials.
* Procurement of sub-contractors.
* Provide commercial support to Operations Team.
* Weekly review of cost and sales for all contracts, identifying any errors and ensuring corrections are made in timely manner.
* Supply chain management.
* Manage profit and loss account.
* Ensuring robust cost control procedures are implemented.
* Management of overall DFE (Deviation from estimate) process, ensuring all additional works are captured in monthly valuations.
* Update electronic systems and maintain a record.
* Hold productivity meetings with Operations team.
* Effectively manage and document any issues/escalations raised, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner and to a successful conclusion.
* Build cost and sales rates from first principle and agree with sub-contractors and client.
* Estimating – requirement for estimating when new tender are received (desirable, not essential).
Knowledge requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, predominantly MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
* The ability to organise, multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to adapt to new challenges.
* Establish good working relationships with colleagues.
* Have integrity and humility in all aspects of work.
* Possess time management skills and be friendly and upbeat attitude.
* A good understanding of project governance and control.
* High attention to detail.
