As a cover supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in pupil's education by supervising classes during teacher absences. Working with a variety of year groups and subjects, you will manage classroom behaviour, support pupils in completing pre-set work, and ensure a safe and positive learning environment. Key responsibilities: Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher. Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies. Supporting pupils to complete their work and stay on task. Liaising with teaching staff to ensure a seamless transition of lessons. Providing feedback on lesson outcomes to the relevant teacher or department. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience working in UK secondary schools, preferably as a cover supervisor or in a similar role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. The ability to manage classrooms effectively and adapt to different age groups and subjects.
