We are looking for a Senior Director TL, Data Science and Analytics Solutions for International Markets to create a best-in-class Data Science team to support International Commercial division. Reporting to the VP of Data Science and Analytics Solutions, this person will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists to support the in country and above country Commercial, Marketing and Leadership teams in driving near-term and long-term commercial strategy. You will be leading a team of leaders who oversee their respective geographies, build and scale analytics capabilities and own analytics delivery for their commercial partners. Your goal will be to drive efficient and scalable analytics across TA while ensuring tight alignment with business priorities. You will be ensuring best in class methodologies and deliverables across the entire data journey from Descriptive to Prescriptive analytics. You are self-directed with wide range of technical skills and are highly proficient in turning data discoveries into analytical insights and products that drive business and customer outcomes. This is a techno commercial roles and requires a mix of leadership and deep data science experience guiding the activities of a highly applied and delivery focused team. You will be responsible for ensuring DS&ML colleagues collaborate with Commercial Finance, Business Transformation, Digital, Chief Marketing Office, and other functions as appropriate to ensure optimal actionability of insights and execution of those actions. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as primary partner and thought leader to the ICD Leadership to ensure Data Science Strategy Roadmap is aligned with International business priorities. This role is accountable for delivering data science driven insights & solutions and will partner with senior functional leads from Insight and Strategy, Analytics Engineering, Market Research, Analytics Governance to develop and implement models, insights, and data products that drive region, country and brand strategic priorities. You are a hands-on leader who has demonstrated the ability to hire, build and develop high performing teams to meet the needs of a highly dynamic and complex business. Lead and manage a team of leaders responsible for managing data scientists across all International markets and accelerating commercial growth by delivering high performance and scalable data science solutions and platforms across enterprise. Execute the data science strategy and roadmap to identify and implement data pipelines and tools to ensure efficient and seamless integration with business. Responsible for creation and maturation of data science delivery best practices and change management within the team and through relevant stakeholders. Partner with cross functional teams to drive implementation of new or existing applications by being a thought leader and identifying high impact project opportunities and process changes. Use advanced machine learning techniques for driving highly applied analyses and tools to directly drive revenue and optimize resources. Foster collaboration with other teams such as operations to ensure seamless integration of data science initiatives across the organization's infrastructure, to ensure Data science output is actionable and informs decision-making. QUALIFICATIONS Significant relevant experience in data science/machine learning. Extensive managerial experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field. Experience in one or more of pharmaceutical industry key therapeutic areas (Oncology, Primary Care, Specialty Care/Rare Diseases, etc.). You are familiar with analytics required in marketing and sales organization for launches, in-line products, and LoE. You are also familiar with field force analytics and omnichannel strategy and the analytics required therein. Any global experience is a plus. Actively build relationships and engage with BU leads and senior commercial leaders. Serve as a thought partner and a systems thinker. Build coalitions and facilitate alignment to support successful implementation of analytic driven initiatives. Understand key issues and potential opportunities for the portfolio of business. Propose and advance new ideas and solutions to meet commercial goals of the portfolio. Ability to communicate complex AI/ML concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Expert in AI/ML methodologies, with published research or patents. Deep involvement in the development and deployment of large-scale AI systems. Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in AI, including ethical AI and AI governance. Expertise in scaling AI/ML solutions across organization. Leadership in AI research, driving innovation and exploring new AI/ML frontiers. Extensive experience with GenAI, and CNN models for advanced applications. Advanced proficiency in Python, Scala, and Java, with deep knowledge of modern analytical systems (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake). Proactively identifies and looks to address systemic or unprecedented problems, issues and opportunities on behalf of clients, business unit or own division. Forms teams with multiple perspectives and interests in the problem to gather information and develop creative solutions. Understands organizational impact and long term implications of potential solutions. Drives communication plan for decision making to gain multi-level buy-in on recommended solutions.
