We are currently working with a variety of Services users in all post code areas of Keighley and Bradford. We are currently recruiting for, friendly, caring, and compassionate, hardworking home care assistants to join our team and provide excellent care to service users, with a range of care needs in the comfort of their own home. Providing high levels of care and companionship, promoting, and enabling independence with clients with brain and spinal injury and more complex conditions. We offer competitive hourly rates, flexible working patterns and Weekly pay.
Role and Responsibilities:
· To be an integral part of the team to support with all aspects of the care role
· Provide person centered care
· Provide support in daily living activities
· Manage and administer medication
· Understand, adhere to, and follow care standards. Policies and procedures
· Keep all records up to date with accurate information
· Provide support with personal care (Undressing, bathing, dressing, toileting, continence care)
· Provide support with Nutrition and Hydration – Meal Preparation
· Engage with the service user
· Light Domestic Duties/Shopping
· Make sure that safe care practices are adhered to
· Using Moving and Handling equipment
· Communicate with other colleagues and senior level staff
· Maintain Confidentiality
· Use specialised equipment for feeding – gastric feed
· Use specialised equipment for breathing – nippy/vent/tracheostomy
Ideal Candidate:
· Must be hard working, reliable and honest
· Experience preferred but not essential as full training can be provided
· Must hold a valid DBS / this can also be obtained if you do not have one
· Must be a driver
· Be friendly and able to engage with others
· Must have empathy towards others
