Placement Officer Ref: 98140 Location: Selby College and Castleford College Salary: £28,503 to £30,239 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week Do you have a passion for supporting students with work placements? We are recruiting for a Placement Officer to join our Care & Early Years department where you will be responsible for co-ordinating, arranging and assessing students on work placements for Early Years and Health & Social Care students at Selby College and Castleford College. As a Placement Officer your duties will include: Sourcing and exploring opportunities for student work placements with vocationally relevant employers. Building strong relationships with such employers and liaise on candidate suitability. Promoting the value of work experience and work/ industry placements with students, enhancing progression opportunities. Support the delivery of readiness for work experience through group activity. Conducting visits to employer premises to monitor the progress of students on their work placement and assess the performance and competence of Early Years students against specific assessment criteria. The role of the Placement Officer is varied, and every day is different with new challenges. You will get to meet and support students and employers as you co-ordinate the work placement process.
