Company overview: Fairhaven is a small but steadily growing supplier of ventilation and air movement products to the construction and industrial sectors. Our goal is to deliver better ventilation solutions to all our customers by leveraging high-quality, innovative systems provided by our manufacturing partners. We provide expert technical advice and product support to consultants, contractors, and clients throughout the construction lifecycle. To help us meet our goals, we wish to recruit an enthusiastic and capable person to join our sales and marketing team in a newly created role.
Job outline
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the focus of the role will be the planning, coordination, and reporting of the Sales and Marketing activities of the business. The role will be primarily office-based, with the option of flexible working. It is envisaged that for the right candidate, the role will develop into a management role as the company grows.
Duties & responsibilities
Below are some specific duties for the role; however, this list is not exhaustive.
1. Marketing
2. Assist in creating, editing, and distributing marketing materials (brochures, flyers, email campaigns, social media posts).
3. Manage the company's social media accounts and website, scheduling & writing posts and engaging with the audience.
4. Assist in sourcing branded merchandise to supplement campaigns and new product launches.
5. Liaise with external marketing agencies.
6. Coordinate planning & promotion of the company's participation in events, trade shows, and technical seminars.
7. Attend events as required.
8. Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing actionable insights.
9. Sales activities
10. Coordinate internal sales meetings.
11. Log new sales enquiries & leads on the company CRM system and assist with assigning to the most appropriate person within the sales team.
12. Follow up with sales team and customers for updates on leads and quotations, ensuring internal records are kept current and accurate.
13. Process all customer orders and manage handover to order delivery team.
14. Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports to support sales review meetings.
15. Admin tasks
16. Maintain general records of the company related to sales and marketing (e.g., price lists, product brochures).
17. Manage internal cloud storage of documents related to leads, quotations, and suppliers.
18. Maintain up-to-date customer details and activity records on CRM system.
Essential Criteria
* 3rd level educated (equivalent experience may be considered).
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
* Excellent IT and graphic design skills.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Willingness to work away from home occasionally (1-2 nights per week, typically 3-4 trips per year).
* Valid Driving Licence (max 3 penalty points).
Desirable
* 3rd level educated in a marketing or business-related subject.
* Experience with web SEO & B2B social media marketing.
* Graphic design experience in a similar role.
