About The Role

We're seeking experienced professionals who can provide tailored support and guidance to young people, helping them to navigate the complexities of modern life and achieve their full potential.
As a key worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people, working with them on a one-to-one basis to build trust, develop skills and promote positive behaviour. A Keyworker is a named member of staff who has a central role in respect of a particular child.
As a Keyworker the areas of responsibility are broad and involve getting to know the young person in an enhanced way including their case history, and the details of their file and also it is important to get to know other individuals and service providers that are involved with the care of the child.
What are my responsibilities as a key worker:
- Acting as a positive role model;
- Assessing the needs of the child;
- Supporting children's links with their families and local community;
- Establishing guidelines for behaviour;
- Giving social, spiritual and emotional support;
- Creating a safe and happy environment in which to live;
- Helping children to access and use community education, health and leisure services;
- Giving advice on independent living to those who are about to leave care;
- The Keyworker will be required to oversee the placement planning and recording systems for the child;
- The Keyworker is responsible for establishing and maintaining an appropriate relationship with the child, and collating information required for Child's Placement Planning Meetings and Looked After Reviews
Has or is willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) (“the Level 3 Diploma”); or a qualification which the registered person considers to be equivalent to the Level 3 Diploma
