MANAGER OF CLINICAL OPERATIONS, MEDICAL
Role Description

MAP is seeking a Manager of Clinical Operations, Medical to oversee and elevate the clinical operations within our medical division. This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of healthcare delivery across multiple practices while helping to shape the future of patient care.
As the Manager of Clinical Operations, Medical, you will be responsible for managing complex healthcare practices and providing strategic leadership to practice managers across our clinics. This is a critical leadership role where you will have the opportunity to implement transformative changes and oversee the day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee a complex medical clinic, including management of all staff, physicians, and administrative support staff.
2. Coach, develop and train other Practice Managers who report to this position in becoming exceptional leaders within their clinics.
3. Continuously analyze, improve, and standardize processes at the clinical level to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
4. Create best practices and ensure accountability at all levels of the clinic they directly manage as well as oversee that the same standards are being met at the clinics where their practice managers oversee.
5. Work with senior leadership on new clinic acquisitions, audit clinical processes, suggest best practices, and make changes where needed to set up the clinic for success.
6. Communicate directly with physicians to ensure their clinical support needs are being met, while striving for better and more effective ways of doing things.
7. Conduct and support workshops for practice employees as well as MAP clinical staff to enhance their professional development.
8. Responsible for staying current on regulatory requirements from the CPSO, MOH, and other regulators in the medical industry.
9. Analyze and gather key performance indicators to ensure a solid understanding on how to improve results through key initiatives.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Strong proficiency as an RPN or RN with a deep understanding of clinical operations and workflow.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Ability to lead and empower teams while maintaining a positive work environment.
4. Detail-oriented and trustworthy, with a keen sense for identifying and addressing minor issues before they escalate.
5. Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
6. Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
2. A minimum of 10 years of work experience as an RPN or RN in combination with some management experience.
3. Proficiency with electronic charting including PS Suites and Accuro EMR.
4. Previous management experience in a clinical setting is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. A degree in health sciences and/or business administration is an asset.
2. Experience managing a private medical clinic is an asset.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position where the Manager of Clinical Operations, Medical will be assigned to a clinic they oversee and will attend site visits to coach and support other practice managers. They will also have time within our main office to work on strategic direction regarding the clinical operations of the medical division at MAP.
