To work closely with and under the supervision of radiographers and nurses to assist in the provision of a high quality imaging service. delivering effective, quality care of radiology patients.
To welcome Targeted Lung Health Check participants on arrival, record their attendance, and undertake other clerical duties on hospital information systems as needed.
The role includes working mainly from a mobile CT unit which will be based in community settings throughout Oxfordshire over the next few years, but may also include some hospital based work. The service will be based at OX4 2JY from October 2024 until at least January 2025 and may remain there much longer. Sites will typically be superstore car parks to improve accessibility to vulnerable populations. Some weekend and twilight working, on a rota system, may be required. You will be supported to become a Competent, Committed, and Courageous team member, who will show a Compassionate and Caring attitude when Communicating with all service users.
Radiology is a rapidly expanding, dynamic speciality at the Oxford University NHS Foundation Trust. The unique and varied nature of the speciality means that there are always new and exciting opportunities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated applicant with good communication skills who will provide a high standard of patient-centred care. Radiology experience is not essential, as you will be fully supported with a very high standard competency training package, allowing great professional development.

Working solo & as a team member you will:
• Support nurses, radiographers and administration personel to give patients the best possible experience, with their journey through the department.
• Welcome Targeted Lung Health Check participants on arrival, record their attendance, and undertake other clerical duties on hospital information systems as needed.
• Assisting & running modalities e.g. CT.
• Observe patients during procedures
• Respect and maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the Unit and patients.
• Keep the Unit well maintained, stocked and tidy, while adhering to health and safety policies.
