Exciting opportunity to work at a large commercial estate situated in Cambridge. CBW are currently recruiting for a maintenance electrician to cover a large commercial estate. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor on site, the successful candidate will be electrically biased to a minimum Level 3.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This is an ongoing permanent role and offers a yearly salary of £44,500.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
2. Lighting:
o Small installation
o Fault-finding
o Lamping
o Changing ballast
o Control panel
o Power distribution
3. Emergency lighting tests
4. Air Conditioning:
o Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
5. Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
6. Plumbing (Unblocking toilets)
7. BMS System Monitoring (i.e. Hot & Colds)
8. Escort / organise subcontractors
9. Attend client meetings if required
10. Ensure site log books are kept up to date
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday - 07:30 am to 16:00 pm
Requirements:
1. The successful candidate will be fully qualified in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 or Equivalent, Apprentice trained)
2. Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
3. An all-around knowledge of the following M&E plant/fabric would be highly desirable:
o Electrical fault-finding
o BMS systems
o Air Conditioning (FCU/AHU)
o HVAC
o Plumbing
o Lighting
o Small installation
o Emergency lighting tests
o Chillers
o Water treatment etc.
4. Honest, reliable and hard working
5. Good communication skills
