Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring that both North East sites are maintained to the highest standards and in accordance with the ISO9001, PS9000 & BRC standards in terms of Quality and Hygiene.
Duties
* Support Quality Manager with respect to management of ISO9001, PS9000 & BRC Standard.
* Customer Complaint reports primary contact.
* Conduct internal audits.
* Control Quality documentation required for the QMS in relation to food safety compliance.
* Support audits/visits by auditors and customers.
* Instigate and participate in Customer complaints/failures investigation through root cause analysis then report findings.
* Present analysis of facts to establish the nature of problems and solutions/actions by appropriate components, follow up and report to QM.
* Ensure good working relationships with co-workers across all departments.
* Provide a visible shop floor presence for leadership for Quality & Hygiene.
* Ensure all Quality Control equipment is maintained and calibrated.
* Support and direct everyday essential Quality assurance activities.
* Collate, record and report Quality metrics on daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
* Support review and recommend improvements to increase product uniformity, conformity and reliability to improve quality characteristics and reduce failures and complaints.
* Support analysis of all elements of quality costs such as basis for initiating positive actions and reductions in cost.
* Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement programmes.
* Be actively involved in HSE programmes.
* Promote Quality Culture.
* Monitor and maintain GMP audit performance.
* Perform any other duties as directed by the Quality Manager or other managers to fully carry out this role.
* Training to quality focus required subject across the sites.
Skills
* Relevant quality qualifications i.e. Auditing.
* Previous manufacturing experience.
* Quality & Hygiene management experience.
* Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the business.
* Ability to work on own initiative and manage department's workload.
* Excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; able to use Avante (training will be provided).
* Driving license.
This role is essential for fostering a culture of compliance within the organisation while ensuring that all operations meet legal and ethical standards.

Pay: £24,050.00-£26,262.60 per year
