Our client is looking for a customer focused candidate who prides themselves in going above and beyond for customers. You will be maintaining contact with your own accounts and building valuable long-term relationships while also finding new opportunities to drive the company's sales through upselling and cross-selling.
They are looking for a confident, outgoing individual with great attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for their next challenge. This role is exciting as there is a nice balance between sales, customer service, and order processing.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop existing customer relationships to maintain contact with your customer base and find new sales opportunities, key in growing your own customer accounts.
2. Proactively keep customers updated with ongoing orders while advising new customers on product availability and making product recommendations.
3. Process customer orders from order receipt until dispatch, liaising with multiple suppliers where necessary to ensure swift delivery and managing customer expectations.
4. Investigate and resolve customer complaints, turning negative experiences into positives.
5. Utilize IT skills, particularly in Microsoft applications, especially Excel spreadsheets and formulas, ERP systems, and adhere to procedures designed to deliver the best customer experience.
6. Work well as part of a team and use your own initiative.
Most importantly, we are looking for a customer-focused person who is good at developing relationships over the phone.
In return, you can expect to receive a basic salary of between £25,000 - £26,500.
