Role Summary
We are currently seeking a Payments Administrator to join our team in Crawley. This is a great opportunity for a driven and talented individual to make a real difference as part of a dedicated and professional team. As a payments administrator at EQPay, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing payments, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the smooth execution of transactions while delivering excellent customer service.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
* Execute, manage and monitor payment processing tasks, ensuring timely and accurate transaction execution
* Verify transaction data for accuracy and completeness, addressing discrepancies as needed
* Monitor transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment-related issues and improve processing workflows
* Resolving ticket and email queries promptly and effectively from both internal and external customers based on competent working knowledge of the customer requirements
* Liaise with partner banks to facilitate payment processing and investigate anomalies
* Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and inform best practices
* Assist in the development and implementation of payment processing policies and procedures
* Providing direct or overflow support to operational departments as required by the business

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:
* Previous experience working within a financial environment (desirable but not essential)
* Excellent analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
* Attention to detail, capable of following defined processes and procedures.
* Good written and communication skills.
* Good level of computer literacy, including moderate Excel skills
* Able to demonstrate a good understanding of what great customer service is
* Team player with the ability to share information and interact positively with others
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
